Suppliers face a number of challenges while reducing their emissions, including limited time and resources, restricted procurement options, and a lack of support throughout the tendering process.
RENEWAY provides support for suppliers whether they are just getting started with decarbonization or have near term emissions reduction goals. Live and on-demand education is designed to increase participants' understaning of renewable electricity options and key consideration when evaluating procurement decisions.
Aerospace and defense suppliers that join RENEWAY have the opportunity to explore multiple renewable electricity options. Suppliers also have the unique opportunity to combine electricity purchasing power and go to market as a group. Scroll down the page for a few more details about buyer aggregation.
As suppliers take action and reduce Scope 2 emissions, sponsor companies reduce Scope 3 emissions.
RENEWAY is a free program open to any company that supplies to corporate sponsor Lockheed Martin. Suppliers can register for the RENEWAY program hosted on Zeigo Hub to learn more and start accessing the program benefits.
Buyer aggregation creates the unique opportunity for suppliers within the RENEWAY program to combine electricity consumption and form buyers' cohorts. Combining demand creates access to renewable electricity for many suppliers that would not have enough volume to meet the scale needed to purchase on their own. Suppliers that participate in cohorts can make impactful scope 2 emission reductions for 10-15 years.
Content expanded to include VPPA, EAC, Onsite and regional renewable electricity options.
